JAKARTA - Member of the PSI faction of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Josephine Simanjuntak, admitted that he would collect the promise of the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Pramono Anung, who will add the budget allocation for the food subsidy program next year.
This is in
the aftermath of the reduction in the food subsidy budget which is only
allocated for the first 10 months in the draft regional revenue and expenditure
budget (RAPBD) in 2026.
Pramono
promised to add another budget to cover the needs of the next two months of
food subsidies in the draft 2026 APBD changes.
"There
is a guarantee or not, if later the APBD changes are completely included again?
Who can guarantee it? Nothing. Yes, at least I will insist again on the revised
APBD, in Commission C. I will ask again, 'where is your promise?'," said
Josephine to reporters, Wednesday, November 26.
The
collection of this promise, called Josephine, is based on her concern that the
low-cost food program will later stop because the budget is running out and the
DKI Provincial Government does not allocate additional budget in the
preparation of APBD changes.
"He
said it was designed for 10 months in 2026, later in the Revised APBD it will
be added. That's diplomatic language. This means that there are still cuts,
right. He said there were no cuts, only set for 10 months. But if we look at
the APBD, there will still be reductions. This means that we really have to
guard the budget design in the Revised APBD," said Josephine.
Pramono
projects that Jakarta will become a global city in the future. According to
Josephine, the face of a global city is not only a matter of infrastructure
progress. The DKI Provincial Government must also ensure the welfare of its
citizens by supporting the distribution of social assistance.
"I see
the problem of Jakarta as a global city, one of which is social life. How to
organize people's lives, order, the economy. That's a big homework," he
said.
It is known,
the DPRD and the DKI Provincial Government ratified the 2026 APBD Draft with a
value of IDR 81.3 trillion. This figure is down from the initial planning due
to a profit-sharing fund of IDR 15 trillion in a plenary meeting on Wednesday,
November 12.
Before being
ratified, a number of DPRD members submitted their interruptions. They
protested the reduction in the food subsidy budget next year to Rp300 billion.
Responding
to this, DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung claimed that there would be no
deduction in the receipt of food subsidies by beneficiaries in the
implementation of the social assistance program next year.
"In my
opinion, a different way of seeing it. As the governor in charge of this, I
convey that there is no cutting of food subsidies in the APBD," said
Pramono at the DKI Jakarta DPRD building, Wednesday, November 12.
Although the
food subsidy budget is reduced, Pramono promised to add the budget allocation
again in the 2026 APBD changes which were designed in the middle of next year.
Pramono guarantees that the DKI Jakarta Regional Government Budget Team (TAPD)
will resolve the issue.
"I
believe our enthusiasm is the same. For food subsidies, we will definitely make
priorities for all of us," said Pramono.
